Privacy Policy

Lead Machine ("we", "us") is operated by Devs & Logics. This policy explains how we handle information when you use our web application at lead-machine-wine.vercel.app and related services.

1. What Lead Machine does

Lead Machine is a subscription software tool for freelancers and agencies. We aggregate publicly available posts and listings from third-party platforms (for example Hacker News, Reddit when API access is approved, Indie Hackers, job boards, and similar sources), filter them using keywords you configure, and display matches in your private Console. We do not send automated messages to leads on your behalf.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data — name, email, and authentication identifiers via Clerk when you sign up or sign in.
  • Subscription data — plan tier and billing status via Stripe (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Lead data — for matched public posts we may store: URL, title, author or company name, short excerpt/body text, source platform, post date, keyword matches, and an internal quality score.
  • Your workspace data — keywords, notes, tags, lead status (e.g. contacted), saved searches, and webhook URLs you choose to save.
  • Usage data — AI chat message counts, scrape session logs, and standard server logs (IP, browser type) for security and reliability.

3. Reddit and third-party content

When Reddit Data API access is approved, we access read-only public post listings from subreddits you are entitled to see under your plan. We:

  • Store minimal fields needed to show you a match (title, author, URL, excerpt).
  • Always link back to the original Reddit post — we do not replace Reddit.
  • Do not auto-post, auto-DM, or redistribute Reddit content to the public.
  • Do not sell or license Reddit data to third parties.
  • Honor deletion requests for Reddit-derived records in our database, including requests aligned with Reddit's data removal expectations.

Other sources (Hacker News, GitHub, RSS feeds, etc.) are subject to their own terms. We use official APIs or public feeds where possible and link to originals.

4. How we use information

  • Provide and improve the Lead Machine service (matching, Console, digest, exports).
  • Run keyword filtering and deduplication so you see relevant opportunities.
  • Generate AI-assisted reply drafts when you request them (via DeepSeek).
  • Send optional alerts you configure (e.g. Slack, Discord, Telegram) for high-score leads.
  • Process payments and enforce plan limits.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with law.

5. Retention

Matched leads are retained in MongoDB according to your subscription plan (typically 4 days on Free, 14 days on Starter, 60 days on Pro), after which older records may be pruned automatically. You may delete individual lead notes/tags or request broader deletion (see below).

6. Sharing and subprocessors

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run the product:

  • Clerk (authentication)
  • Stripe (payments)
  • MongoDB Atlas (database hosting)
  • Vercel (application hosting)
  • DeepSeek (AI drafting, when you use the assistant)
  • GitHub Actions (scheduled scrapes, when enabled)

If you configure webhooks (Slack, Discord, Telegram, or a custom URL), lead metadata you choose to alert on is sent to those endpoints under your control.

7. Your rights and deletion requests

Depending on your location (including EU/UK GDPR and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you.

To request deletion of your account data or Reddit-derived lead records, email amirgillani160@gmail.com with the subject "Lead Machine data deletion" and include the email address associated with your account. We aim to respond within 30 days and will delete or anonymize data unless we must retain it for legal obligations.

For Reddit-specific removal requests, include the Reddit post URL(s) or author username if applicable. We will remove matching records from our database where technically feasible.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, authenticated access to the Console, and industry-standard hosting. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we work to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Lead Machine is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
